MODESTO, CA – Tim Robertson, Democratic State Senate Candidate in District 4, announced the endorsement of the Modesto Bee and more than 50 organizations, locally elected officials, and community leaders.  “I am honored to have the support of so many diverse people and organizations from across District 4 who share my commitment to working together to solve problems and create opportunity for everyone,” said Robertson.

“Tim is a leader who has worked years to help communities in the Valley and Central Sierra,” said Tuolumne County Supervisor Jaron Brandon. “That’s his passion – giving people a voice, addressing the cost and concerns of everyday people, and working for a better tomorrow. I’m confident he’ll be a fighter for us in rural communities that are too often not heard at the state level.”

Robertson is the Executive Director of the North Valley Labor Federation and is an elected member of the Keyes Community Services Board, overseeing water delivery and other community services.

“Tim Robertson is a problem solver and I think highly of his willingness to work with anyone to find common ground to solve tough problems,” said State Senator Anna Caballero. “Tim will be an effective fighter for this diverse district in Sacramento.” Other endorsements include Congressman Josh Harder and California Treasurer Fiona Ma.

Community service is core to Robertson’s values. He serves on three county-wide Workforce Development Boards, working to prepare people for jobs and build a skilled workforce.  Robertson is also a member of a Stanislaus County bipartisan collaboration creating a regional economic growth strategy to improve job quality. He also serves on two United Way Boards.

Nichole Trujillo Rice, Secretary-Treasurer of the North Valley Labor Federation said, “Tim fights for a level playing field for workers every day. He has the experience to solve the challenges working families face and to enact legislation to improve people’s lives.”  Robertson is endorsed by the California Labor Federation, the California Professional Firefighters, the California Teachers Association, the California Nurses Association, and more than twenty other local and state unions.

Today, the Modesto Bee endorsed Robertson writing, “The election of Robertson, a labor union leader, to the Keyes Community Services District and his involvement in three countywide boards focusing on better Stanislaus jobs suggest the kind of devotion needed in all representatives.”

Robertson is endorsed by the California Democratic Party. A full list of endorsements can be found at robertsonforsenate.com.
